AKA & Emtee join 25K for ‘Culture Vulture’ remix

The hit single was inspired by the lack of originality in the local Hip Hop scene at the time; every artist seemed to copy whatever sound was doing well, hence ‘Culture Vulture’.

25K took that frustration and put it in a song by creating his own sound using the raw township sound that comes naturally to him whilst repping Atteridgeville.

‘Culture Vulture’ also seeks to play on the irony of the fact that anyone who would copy what he does, either from the song or his sound in general, would also now be a culture vulture.

The song has gained popularity and has been embraced by artists that 25K looks up to such as AKA, Cassper Nyovest and DJ Maphorisa which led to the remix featuring all-star Hip Hop giants AKA and Emtee.

This has now solidified his space as a trailblazer in South African Hip Hop with a fresh take on musical expression.

AKA heard the single and already made it known that he would like to be on the remix, a testament to the force 25K came into the industry with.

25K is fast becoming the next Trapstar, featuring on DJ Kaymoworld’s ‘The Come Up’ and Gigi Lamayne’s ‘Jou Stad’.
